Position Objectives:
Purchases and manages all raw and consumable components of the supply chain according to company specifications. Collaborates with Managers to determine supply needs and manages receiving and warehousing materials.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Knowledge of Business Plan Goals and Objectives
 Work within a framework of Team oriented management.
 Awareness and understanding of their roles and responsibilities within all applicable environmental & safety plans, policies, and procedures.
 Manage the regulatory shipping, tracking, reporting, of environmental requirements (Storm Water, MACT, Title 5, Hazmat Waste Materials etc.)
 Ensure all teammates under their supervision adhere to all applicable environmental & safety plans, policies, and procedures.
 Utilize Basic Principles of leadership and management to deal with teammates, supervisors, and managers.
 Awareness and understanding of the Quality Management System and Work Instructions.
 Manage the productivity and continuously develop the skills of the material handlers, Materials Coordinator, and Purchasing Clerk.
 Ability to negotiate and obtain quality, cost effective raw materials, manufacturing supplies and services that meet or exceed manufacturing requirements.
 Manage and develop our purchasing system and supplier base to meet or exceed our goals and objectives.
 Manage and develop our scheduling and inventory control systems to meet or exceed our goals and objectives.
 Interact with Accounting, Purchasing, HR, HS, Engineering, and Quality Managers.
 Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:
 Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years purchasing and managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
 Technical knowledge of Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
 Experience utilizing an MRP in a manufacturing environment.
 Knowledge of purchasing, scheduling, and inventory control.
 Demonstrated abilities in effective computer skills (such as Microsoft Office products).
