Regional Sales Manager
Location: Remote (Northeast Region)
Travel: 50%+ within territory
A U.S.-based leader in engineered polymer components is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to accelerate growth across the Northeast. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of extruded plastic and high-performance polymer parts for industries including aerospace, medical, electronics, and specialty industrial markets. With operations spanning North America, the organization is recognized for its precision extrusion capabilities, rapid prototyping, and responsive customer service.
Role Overview
As Regional Sales Manager (RSM), you’ll be responsible for driving new business development and managing strategic customer relationships throughout the Northeast. This is a high-impact, consultative sales role that blends technical expertise with commercial strategy, ideal for someone with a strong background in engineered plastics or polymer solutions.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, you’ll lead regional sales planning, engage with key accounts and distribution partners, and collaborate internally to deliver tailored, value-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement sales plans and budgets for the Northeast territory
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets and applications
• Build and nurture relationships with OEMs, distributors, and strategic accounts
• Collaborate with product development and operations teams to customize solutions
• Prepare competitive quotes, manage pricing strategies, and negotiate terms to close deals
• Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts using CRM tools
• Represent the company at regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; technical or engineering discipline preferred
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in plastics, polymer processing, or engineered components
• Proven success in business development and account management in a technical sales environment
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce experience preferred)
• Must reside in or near the Northeast U.S. and be willing to travel extensively within the region
